Compatibility of Jamie Fraser and Claire Fraser of Outlander, On-screen and Off-screen

Did you enjoy watching Outlander? If yes, then how much did you like the compatibility between Jamie and Claire? People have rated the series with an IMDB rating of 8.4 (as of 17th Sep 2021), which is quite high. How much credit of it will you give to the sexual chemistry between the two?

Sexual Chemistry between Jamie and Claire

In the first few episodes of the very first season, it looks as if Frank and Claire are quite good on the sexual chemistry level. But then suddenly everything changes when she goes back in time, almost 200 years back to the 1800s. When Jamie and Claire meet, it doesn't look as if they are very much attracted to each other, but the events brought them together. Even their marriage is a result of a certain urgency. There is nothing much romantic about it. Jamie is quite a healthy guy, and a brave man, but not someone who has very good experience with ladies. I mean, look at his previous girlfriend. How can he be in a relationship with such a lady, who is so vicious? Doesn't it tell us something about early Jamie too? Claire on the other hand comes from the future, with a lot of knowledge and excitement. Claire is quite attractive intellectually, but on the physical level, she looks older than Jamie. 

She would have gone back to the future if the circumstances were correct, but she is compelled to get married to Jamie. It seems as if she has a habit of getting herself in trouble, always acting beyond her abilities and reasons. That is why I believe her to be quite annoying, and the reason why I almost left watching Outlander. The unnecessary sex scenes between Jamie and Claire are quite a trouble to watch sometimes. I think what keeps them both together for such a long time is their honesty with each other, and the events in their lives which could not have happened in a real person's life.

As per Express, in the first season, Claire is 26 years old with a birthdate of Oct 20, 1918, while Jamie was 23 years old with a birthday on May 1, 1721. Claire has a Sun sign of Libra ( almost in cusp with Scorpio) while Jamie is a Taurus. These two signs are not quite compatible with each other. It would have been better if Claire was born almost a week later, after Oct 21st, so that she was a Scorpio. However, everything doesn't depend on the reel life astrological charts, one has to look at the real-life birth dates of the actors. No matter how good an actor is, their on-screen chemistry largely depends upon the off-screen chemistry.

As per the Google search results, Sam is born on 30th April 1980, and Catriona is born on 4th Oct 1979. Hence Jamie is a Taurus, and Catriona is a Libra. These are the same signs which they have in their reel life, and we know that they are not quite compatible when we consider the Sun signs only.
