Queen of hills- Shimla, (Capital of Himahal Pradesh)

Shimla is a capital city of the Himachal Pradesh, which is located in the northern part of the India. The place is well known as the tourist center in the India.
Some facts about Shimla:
(1) Britishers declared the Shimla as the Summer capital of India in 1864.
(2) Shimla is the largest city of the Himachal Pradesh.
(3) The railway line between the Kalka to Shimla is a part of the UNESCO world heritage sites.
(4) Institute of the Advanced Studies, Shimla, which was known as the viceregal lodge, was constructed as the house for the British, viceroy of India. Construction done in period of 1880 AD to 1888 AD.
(5) The name Shimla is taken from the Hindu Goddess Shyamla Devi.
