Difference between AutoCad and Staadpro.

There are a number of civil engineering software and AutoCad and StaadPro are quite famous among the professionals. AutoCAD is a drafting software, so it is used for creating or reading drawings. StaadPro is an analysis and design software that is used for structural design.

AutoCAD is used to prepare technical drawings, and those who draft those drawings are known as draftsmen, in general. On the other hand, to use StaadPro, you must have knowledge of structural analysis and design, too. Using the StaadPro, you can find out the stress diagrams for the given loading on structures like bridges and other buildings. You can design the structure for the given loading and given limits of the stress and deflections.

Staadpro is an important software from the economic point of view and from the safety and effectiveness of the structure.
